The Golden Hum

By Victor Tavernini

Book blurb

Florida, 2012. Bitcoin is worth five dollars and nobody's paying attention. Three men hide mining rigs in school closets across Broward County, turning taxpayer electricity into a fortune no one can trace. By the time the price begins to climb, a teenager is posting proof online, a CTO is tracing their traffic, and the lie has grown too large for any of them to carry. A novella about greed, guilt, and the Florida heat that makes good men do unforgivable math.

The Golden Hum is a story about the year Bitcoin was worthless, the people who knew it wouldn't stay that way, and the distance between the life you earn and the life you steal.
